Books- Color atlas of genetics
- Covers molecular, cellular, and chromosomal basis of genetics and gene expression. The structure, function, and evolution of genes and gene systems are also described.
- Genomes
- Concentrates on the study of the genome as a whole rather than the more common approach of studying specific genes.
- Human molecular genetics 2
- Concentrates on the principles of genetics rather than the details. However, the comprehensive index does provide factual information that can be used to illustrate the principles.
- Introduction to genetic analysis
- Landmark experiments are introduced for genetic analysis. Students analyze the data and draw conclusions as if they had done the research themselves.
- Metabolic & molecular bases of inherited disease
- Explains and updates information provided by researchers and clinicians from around the world. This resource covers information about genomics and pharmacogenics.
Databases- PubMed
- MEDLINE is the United States National Library of Medicine's (NLM) premier bibliographic database providing citations to biomedical literature in the following fields: medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, allied health, and the pre-clinical sciences.
- Web of Science
- Includes Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Science Citation Index. Contains the references cited by the authors of the journal articles they cover. A cited reference search enables you to find papers that cite a published work that you already know. In addition to cited reference searching, you can search by topic, author, or title.
EJournals- American journal of human genetics
- Annual review of genetics
- Annual review of genomics and human genetics
- Current opinion in genetics & development
- Genes & development
- Genome research
- Molecular & cellular proteomics
- Nature genetics
- Plant cell
- PLOS genetics
- Trends in cell biology
- Trends in genetics
Websites- GenBank
- GenBank consists of direct submissions from scientists, and depends on these contributors to help keep the database as comprehensive, current, and accurate as possible.
- GeneTests
- A directory of laboratories providing testing for genetic disorders.
- Human genome project
- The human genomic research programme at the Sanger Centre encompasses mapping, sequencing, and structural and functional interpretation.
- NCBI Human Genome Resources
- NCBI's website is an informational infrastructure that has been created for biomedical researchers to use in their research efforts.
